Moderatly movements at Boiler Bay today with Cackling Geese, Loons, Surf Scoters and Common Murres. All the movements of the Common Murres were probably to and from feeding grounds and this particular day the majority of movements were towards south. Highlight of the day became the Fork-tailed Storm-petrel which was seen feeding at 700 meters west of the observation point. The ashy-grey color and the black pattern on coverts could be seen well. Counting time: 06:15-12:15. 28 species of seabirds counted. Weather: Light showers in the morning and clearing towards noon. Wind, 7 m/s (15mph) from west turning southwest.
