29 April

After yesterday’s great movement we were back to the slow migration seen last week. Not much can be said about the seawatch today. Small flocks of Western/Least Sandpiper along with Pacific Loon were heading north and some movement of Sooty Shearwater moving south very far in the horizon. Counting time: 05:50-10:50. 4849 seabirds of 29 species counted. Weather was mostly nice even though some areas of rain passed just north and south of Boiler Bay. Wind was slow from southwest < 3 m/s (< 7mph).
